60Si2MnA is a widely used silicon-manganese spring steel with slightly higher strength, elasticity, and hardenability than 55Si2Mn. This steel strip features low alloy element content, good hardenability, high toughness and plasticity, small decarburization tendency, good tempering stability, excellent hot workability, and low cost. Baosteel's production of this hot-rolled steel strip has sufficient inventory to meet the procurement needs of various customers.

60Si2MnA spring steel has good mechanical properties in annealed or high-temperature tempered state:

• Tensile strength: ≥1274 MPa (130 kgf/mm²)
• Yield strength: ≥1176 MPa (120 kgf/mm²)
• Elongation (δ10): ≥5%
• Reduction of area (ψ): ≥25%
• Hardness: Hot-rolled state ≤321HB; Cold-drawn + heat treated state ≤321HB
• Its density is 7.85 g/cm³
